We offer high quality teaching, adapted to the needs of every student. To achieve this, we contact the students ahead of time to determine their Spanish level, assign them to the right group, and establish the content of the class material. We use different textbooks depending on the requirements of each group, and complement it with our own material. Our head of studies prepares an individual academic plan for each student, which guarantees the most out of their stay at Tía Tula. We can provide this individual attention to our students and their academic plan because we are a small school, with a maximum capacity of 64 students at any one time.

The administrative/secreterial staff works hard to make the students feel at home at our school and in Salamanca. Since we are a small school, our staff knows all our students personally which results in a close, warm and familiar relationship.

Extracurricular activity program (mostly free)
Week after week we provide a new list of dynamic and imaginative extracurricular activities, aimed at finding new ways for the students to learn Spanish and put their new knowledge into practice, as well as integrating them into Spanish culture and everyday life. These activities are mostly free and are lots of fun, mainly due to the close familiar relationship between our students and our staff.

Conscientious selection (and monitoring) of accommodation
Accommodation is selected carefully by visiting all potential host families and flats and monitoring the students’ satisfaction during their stay. If at any time, a student is in a problematic situation not due to a misunderstanding that can easily be resolved, we quickly provide alternative accommodation. At the end of their stay the students fill out a survey of satisfaction about their host family and their flats. Their opinion is fundamental in the evaluation and rating of the host families and flats.

Our location is unbeatable! We are situated in the heart of the historical centre surrounded by the Universidad Pontificia, the Casa de las Conchas, the Cathedrals, the Palacio de Anaya and the faculties of Philology (Spanish Language, Literature and Linguistics), Translation and Documentation of the Universidad de Salamanca. The famous historic façade of the University is a few meters away and the Plaza Mayor less than a 2 minute walk down the Rúa Mayor, one of the main streets of the historical centre and where we are located. Maximum tourist and student activity is around the school!

The charm of our classrooms and our facilities
Our classrooms exhibit the old classic European charm: spacious, bright, with balconies and large windows. The furniture and floors are made from beautifully aged wood. This is harmoniously combined with our audiovisual infrastructure and computer area, providing the students with the necessary equipment in and out of the classroom, including WiFi.
